Footage of apprentice tied up and blasted with CO2 in initiation emerges. A shocking hazing video of an apprentice cocooned in clingfilm, dragged across the floor and blasted with a fire extinguisher has divided opinion online. The footage concludes with the youngster being engulfed with what appears to be carbon dioxide gas from a fire extinguisher, which can asphyxiate in a confined space. Before that, the victim is pelted with what seems to be snow as he hangs defenceless on a wall inside a warehouse. The footage was uploaded to the construction workers Facebook page On The Tools on Sunday morning with the title New apprentice on site. Others reckon the antics are hilarious and tell critics to get an office job. It starts as the young apprentice is wrapped in blue clingfilm and tied up on a wall before what appears to be a snow ball is thrown at him. The apprentice is seen dangling from the wall wrapped up in blue tape before a blade is placed on his shoe At one point what appears to be a snowball is thrown at the apprentice during the hazing video. The apprentice says Oh f you. Youre a st shot man, as the camera moves closer to show him hanging from a pole with his feet dangling from the bottom of the blue clingfilm. A blade is then places on his work boot to tease him as theres no way he can reach down for it and cut himself out. The video then cuts to show the apprentice being dragged helplessly along the ground as he tries to hold on to a nearby trolley. The next shot shows the apprentice motionless in ball on the ground before being covered in a cloud of what is thought to be carbon dioxide gas from a fire extinguisher. The white gas becomes so thick that the apprentice becomes barely visible as the plumes of smoke cover his body. Carbon dioxide extinguishers work by replacing the air with their gas which does not support combustion.
